As per the new pattern, students will be assessed in two areas - Scholastic and Co-scholastic. For assessment of the scholastic areas, the academic year is divided into two terms and the following types of tests will be conducted.

The formative assessment is a tool for a teacher to continuously monitor the progress of a student. The assessment may include:
The summative assessment evaluates the learning at the end of a term. It reflects students’ academic performance in a comprehensive manner.
All assessments shall be done in marks, but final reporting will be in grades on a 9-point scale. Report cards will carry grades only. The grades are awarded based on performance in all 6 assessments.
